Do you have a interest in serving the sick, elderly, poor or children? Is God calling you to contemplative prayer? Do you want to be a missionary or catechist? Do you have a belated vocation? Find religious communities, colleges or apostolates that maybe right for you!

What is Vocation Search?

VocationSearch is a search engine to help you discover detailed information about the 175 Catholic religious communities and apostolates that are IRL Affiliates. Easy or advanced search criteria allow you to zero in on your specific interest area such as tradition (Dominican, Benedictine, etc.), location, apostolate, cloistered or active, and belated vocations.

When you select a community, you can learn more about their charism, mission, formation program, and qualifications for entry. There are links to the communities’ website and an email address for the vocation director.

You can also search by Location. This list gives a list of Affiliates and select non-Affiliate communities (contact only information.).

What is an IRL Affiliate?

IRL Affiliates are religious communities, institutes of consecrated life, Catholic colleges and Catholic apostolates who have agreed to collaborate with the IRL in carrying out its mission and purpose. Affiliates are subjected to a thorough evaluation by the IRL board to ensure they meet criteria of orthodoxy and viability.

Catholic Colleges and Apostolates

Looking for a solidly Catholic school? Check out the profiles of our affiliated Catholic colleges, including Northeast Catholic College, Thomas Aquinas College, Christendom College, Holy Apostles College & Seminary, and Benedictine College.

Do you want to be part of the Holy Father’s own “prayer group”? Learn more about the Apostleship of Prayer, founded so the faithful can pray monthly for the Pope’s two special intentions for the Church and the missions.
